my project: sketchbook aspects

my project (the one i am collecting all this research for) is a mixup of two genres: sketchbooks and personal memoirs. the general premise of my mix is to have a visually entertaining personal account of my travels/and adventures the summer following my freshman year at college. 

i added the visual element of sketchbooks to enhance the storytelling experience, to move the story along and provide quirky comedic elements (especially helpful when the writing parts get dry). i feel like there is also the aspect of the narrator (me) being an artist so it is only appropriate for me to add an illustrative component to describe a colorful event.
